Default Identifying nodes / integration points of increased strains/stresses

    Dear all,

Is it possible to identify the node / integration point where strain/stress is maximal and the value of this strain/stress, in the PostView GUI? And perhaps to identify all nodes / integration points where the strain/stress exceeds a certain threshold?

Any chance someone has an answer to this query?

    Hi Ran,

You can identify nodes and elements but not integration points. There are a couple of ways of doing this: 1) Select all the nodes/elements and use Post>Trackview to find the node/element with the max strain/stress. 2) Choose stress/strain as the "Data field" of the Color Map and then use Edit>Select range to select the elements/nodes with the values in the range you want. Hope that helps.
